Two materials doing two jobs: black walnut for the part you look at, aluminum for the part that has to hold weight. The wood is handcrafted from offcuts and the metal is recyclable, so the piece uses up material that would otherwise be waste.

The dual-slot base stands two machines upright side by side, and the width adjusts to whatever you own — a MacBook Pro, a heavier notebook, an iPad.

Anti-scratch pads face the walnut panel and silicone pads face the aluminum, so whichever surface a device touches, it lands on something soft.
