A white carbon steel basket carrying about 15 lbs, which covers a power strip, its adapters, and the slack around them. A pair of holes per side lets cables pass straight through rather than looping over the rim.

Side clips grip the desk edge through those holes and tighten up in around three minutes — no drilling, and soft rubber padding keeps the furniture unmarked. Hang it facing inward to bury the cabling, or outward when you want to reach the strip without ducking under the desk. Desks from 0.4" to 2" thick are within range.
