The clamp is extra-wide with a silicone pad and takes an edge measuring 2.5 inches or less. Push it fully onto the surface and tighten it, keeping the desk faces flat above and below; a partial bite is what makes these lamps sag.

The body is aluminium throughout, which carries heat away from the LEDs. A delay-off timer shuts it down after 30 minutes, and power-off memory restores whatever was set before it was switched off.
