A touch panel switches through five colour settings from warm to cool, and dims steplessly from 10% to 100% rather than stepping between fixed levels.

Colour rendering measures above 90 on the index, which is the number that matters for painting, small print, or anything where a shade has to read true.

The output is flicker-free and diffused, with no glare spot and no hard shadow edge.

Note how the two USB ports differ. The USB-C is an input at 5V/2A, feeding the lamp, and its adapter is supplied. The USB-A is an output at 5V/1A for a phone, tablet, or smartwatch.

An auto-off timer runs at 30 or 60 minutes.

The head turns 180° left to right and folds 180° up and down, over a base that folds through 90°, so the whole lamp collapses for storage or a bag.
