Two light sources rather than one: a front light onto the desk, and a backlight facing the wall. The rear glow lifts the darkness immediately around a bright screen, which is the contrast that makes long sessions uncomfortable.

Check your monitor first. This does not fit laptops, and it does not fit curved monitors. Flat desktop panels only.

The front optics are asymmetrical, lighting the desk area alone and leaving no reflection on the display.

Colour rendering reaches Ra98 — high enough that on-screen and on-desk colours look the same.

Three colour temperatures between 3100K and 6400K, with manual stepless dimming rather than fixed steps. Memory holds both settings even after the power has been disconnected.
