Eighty-four beads — 42 warm and 42 cool — behind asymmetrical optics putting light down across desk and keyboard instead of onto your face or back off the screen. Output measures 500 lux at the centre.

Three colour temperatures step on a tap: 3000K, 4000K, and 6500K. Warm for reading, cool for work, and the two mixing to whatever white balance suits. Brightness runs 10% to 100%.

The tube is black aluminium alloy, 15¾ inches wide, glossy in finish. Its cross-section is a Reuleaux triangle about ¾ inch high — a shape the mounting system grips tightly rather than letting slide.

The bar swivels through 180° to set the angle of illumination.

Its leading edge overlaps a mere 0.3 inch (0.7cm) of bezel, which is what lets it sit on a thin-bezel or curved monitor without covering any of the picture.
